Day 64 - Hung over and resting

Today was a rest day which coincided perfectly with my hangover. For the last week I've had the goal of eating 3200 calories a day which is supposedly 1500 calories over my maintenance level. Other than yesterday, I've been within 100 calories of that goal and have logged every single thing I've eaten that has at least 10 calories or so. Yesterday I went over by 483 calories but it wasn't my fault. I did a big volunteering event in Seattle and was rewarded with unlimited food and beer afterwords. I ended up getting pretty drunk and ate some shitty food. One blown day out of 8 isn't bad though.

Supposedly I'm supposed to put on five pounds or so during this twelve day bulking phase - much of which should theoretically be lean muscle mass. I don't think I'm going to put that much on though. After a week of doing this I think I'm only up a couple pounds. It's possible (nay, probable) that I underestimated the calories my body burns on it's own (ie my maintenance level). Regardless, I'm going to stick out the remaining days in this bulking phase and then the cutting phase and then adjust for the next go around.

Workout wise I kicked ass this past week. I'm supposed to go heavy and avoid cardio so that's what I did. Instead of the typical 3 heavy days I did 5. I swapped in a custom heavy leg workout for Plyo X. And in lieu of Kempo X I did Chest, Shoulders, & Tris. And of course, I blew off the hell-spawn that is Yoga X. That vile piece of rubbish was happily abandoned for multiple volleyball and hockey days.
