Day 38 - Rest day

Winnie! Get better!

Winnie's been hurting. She's been wearing knee braces during most of the workouts for the past month because they get sore after the leg workouts. The last week though her knees (one in particular) has been giving her real problems. And yesterday she felt victim to some kind of stomach virus and had to miss work. The two of those together meant that there was no way in hell she was doing the Plyo-X workout with me. So I did it myself and it was tough. I've become so accustomed to working out with her that I've forgotten just how damn hard it is to do P90x by yourself. Even though I only made it 78 days last summer I'm still proud of that. Hopefully Winnie will be back in action tomorrow for back and biceps day.

She was bummed today because my calendar had a sticker on Day 37 and hers doesn't. I'm more creative with my calendar than Winnie is. I get a rest day every now and then. But she has worked out every single day though, whether it's a P90x tape with me or her elliptical machine at home. So I can see why she's be bummed. To make up for it she's going to try to get a double workout in this week which means she'll get a double sticker. Even though this is no competition, that will even us up.

So while Winnie's busting her ass working out tonight, today is my rest day. That's not totally true though. I did the Ab Ripper workout this morning and I'm playing a hockey game tonight. This will be the first game in a month. Even though it will take a bit to get my skating legs back I'm excited to see how the lighter, stronger me does.

More lines are slowly creeping into my stomach. I might just get a washboard stomach before this thing is over.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but I maxed out at 14 pull-ups last week - 3 closer to my goal of 20. Based on my last back workout I bet I can do even more now. I banged out 10 earlier today and still had gas in the tank.
