Day 58 - Holy Crap, I'm getting stronger!

Last week was an easy week and now we're into Phase 3, the home stretch. This third is a week longer than the others so I'm not quite 2/3 done, but close.

Today's workout was the chest and back video which I haven't done since week 3 of Phase 1. So I was absolutely thrilled and pumped by the fact that I was getting on average, 2 more pullups per set and 5 more pushups per set today than I did the last time I did this workout. (I know because I'm tracking everything in excel). The diamond pushups, of which I originally couldn't do any, are now doable. I did sets of 10 and 8. I also hadn't seen the lackies in today's video for 5 weeks - I wonder if I look bigger to them...

I still haven't missed a day yet - minus the hellspawn that is yoga. A reader wrote a comment a couple weeks ago recommending that I try it again. He went through p90x and hated yoga initially but I don't think he understands how bad I actually loathe it. I despise it with the intensity of 1000 burning suns. I've deliberated on this quite a bit and I think I'm going to continue to skip out on it. p90x is hard - really, really hard but every workout I finish leaves me feeling great about myself and committed to pushing on. Except yoga, which I've done twice, didn't do that for me. I was upset and angry at the end which just isn't worth dealing with. This program is physically demanding enough that I don't need to make it harder with a psychological challenge as well. Sue me.
